Get real things done — in flow, together.
This is not a productivity sprint and it’s not a nervous system recovery session. It’s both. Functional Flow walks you through short, focused bursts of doing (send the email, book the appointment, open the scary doc) with built-in nervous system downshifts so you don’t fry yourself.
Here’s how it works:
Arrive & Drop In (2 min)
We start by landing in your body. Shoulders down an inch, jaw soft, nervous system told: you’re not under attack. You’ll name what feels most important for right now, not in abstract life-priority terms but literally “what would help me breathe easier in the next 2 hours?”Choose Your Thing (3 min)
You’ll pick one tiny, very doable action — we call it “the thing.”
Examples: reply to Sam, schedule the dentist, fill out one field on the form, put $20 in savings, move laundry to dryer. We don’t do “overhaul my whole life.” We do “one relieving move.”
You’ll write it down in chat or privately, so your mind stops spinning and your body feels the clarity of “this is it.”
Active Recovery / Reset (2 min)
Before we take action, we do a guided mini-reset to open capacity.
This is structured non-striving: eyes soften, breath slows, spine unwinds, your system rehearses safety while looking at The Thing.
This is where “I can’t” starts to become “I can, and I don’t have to panic to do it.”Plunge & Do (3 min)
Cameras can be on or off. Mics muted. We all do our thing at the same time.
You’ll take only the next concrete step. Not finish the whole task — just move it forward in reality.Nervous System Cooldown / Integration (2 min)
Immediately after the push, we guide a deliberate non-doing.
This is not scrolling. This is an intentional decompression so your brain learns: “I can take action and then return to regulation.”
That pairing (action → safety) is the whole point. That’s how we build follow-through without adrenaline.
We repeat that cycle for up to three micro-tasks.
Closing Integration + Celebration (about 3 min)
We end by noticing what shifted. You’ll get a quick, clean felt sense of “I moved my life forward.” We reinforce wins, not shame you for what’s left. You leave knowing exactly what’s next — and with a more relaxed body than when you came in.
Functional Flow is perfect if:
You freeze in front of small annoying tasks.
You burn yourself out trying to “catch up.”
You can work alone but you regulate better with someone calmly keeping time.
This is nervous-system-friendly productivity.
It’s focus, follow-through, and relief — practiced as a body skill you can build and trust.
